Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Methods
The Bioimaging Centre offers a comprehensive range of electron microscopy applications, enabling researchers to explore biological systems from the cellular to the molecular scale. Specialist workflows include ultrastructural imaging, volume EM, correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM), immunogold localisation studies, nanoparticle analysis, quantitative morphometrics and elemental characterisation by EDX. Through access to high-pressure freezing, freeze substitution, cryo-SEM and cryo-EM technologies, researchers can preserve and investigate samples in near-native states while addressing increasingly complex biological questions. Our dedicated electron microscopy specialists provide expert guidance, training and support to help researchers obtain high-quality, reproducible data at every stage of their project.
