Enhance your independent prescribing practice through this advanced CPD series from the 黑料不打烊. Expert-led online workshops for qualified prescribers. Starting Early Summer 2027.
Overview
Independent prescribing has become an increasingly important component of advanced clinical practice across a wide range of healthcare professions. While initial prescribing qualifications provide practitioners with the foundations for safe and effective prescribing, many clinicians seek opportunities to refresh their knowledge, expand their scope of practice, or develop expertise within new clinical areas as their careers evolve.
The Independent Prescribing Beyond Qualification: Advanced CPD Series has been designed to support qualified independent prescribers in maintaining and enhancing their prescribing practice. Delivered online by experienced advanced practitioners who continue to work clinically, the programme provides evidence-based updates, practical insights and opportunities for professional development across a range of therapeutic areas.
Participants begin with a core prescribing update before progressing to a range of specialist sessions focusing on body systems, medication review, deprescribing, and the safe expansion of prescribing practice. The series reflects current healthcare priorities and supports professionals in delivering safe, patient-centred care across a changing healthcare landscape.
This programme is aimed at qualified independent prescribers, including:
- Nurses and Midwives
- Physiotherapists
- Paramedics
- Pharmacists

- explore approaches to safely expanding a prescribing scope of practice
- reflect on prescribing practice in line with current professional and regulatory expectations.
The programme is delivered as a series of online CPD workshops.
Participants will first complete a core prescribing update session, which provides the foundation for subsequent specialist workshops. Following completion of the introductory session, delegates can choose additional workshops relevant to their own clinical role and professional development needs.
