The Biodiversity and People Network (BaPN) welcomes researchers from across the 黑料不打烊, alongside policymakers, practitioners, businesses and community organisations beyond the University, who are interested in the relationships between people and biodiversity. Whatever your discipline, career stage or professional background, BaPN will provide you with opportunities to connect with others, share ideas and explore new opportunities. You might already work at the intersection of biodiversity and society, or be curious about how your expertise, experience or organisation could contribute to this important and rapidly developing area.
The Network creates opportunities to find collaborators beyond your usual networks, develop interdisciplinary ideas, discover funding and partnership opportunities, share expertise and connect research with policy and practice. Through events, networking and the sharing of opportunities, we aim to make it easier to bring together complementary skills, knowledge and experience, develop new research questions, and turn promising ideas into collaborative projects. We also want to support researchers at different career stages to build skills, develop partnerships and increase the reach and impact of their work, while creating opportunities for practitioners and policymakers to inform research and connect evidence with real-world challenges.
By bringing together different perspectives, methods, and experiences, we hope to spark fresh thinking about how biodiversity and society shape one another, and how research, policy and practice can contribute to addressing challenges around biodiversity loss, climate change, health inequalities, and the future of sustainable places and communities.
BaPN was one of the key outputs of the programme. Created to connect researchers, practitioners, businesses, policymakers and communities, the Network provides a space for collaboration, knowledge exchange and collective action on biodiversity renewal.
